Page two includes a visual legend featuring icons that denote where an event is indoors, outdoors, seated, live-streamed, mobility accessible, free or paid, wet or dry, and whether it has ASL interpretation and gender-neutral washrooms. In this plain text guide, the descriptions will include these words instead of the corresponding icons. July 14 at 12:00 noon at City Hall is the Flag Raising Ceremony. This event is open to all ages and is free, outdoors, live-streamed, ASL-interpreted, accessible, and dry. Come start your Pride week off right at City Hall, where we will be raising the progress and trans flags over the city.

July 14 at 8:00 pm at the New Brunswick Exhibition is the Queer Then n’ Now Drag Bingo. This event is 19+ and costs ten dollars. It is indoors, seated, accessible, and wet. Join us at the NBEX for bingo, door prizes, & drag! Featuring Barb Wire, Heather Silk, Kessa Lulle, and Rapunzel K. Bratt, who will be paying homage to queer music through the decades.

July 15 between 12:00 noon and 4:00 pm on Carleton Street is the Creators and Community Market. This event is open to all ages and is free, outdoors, accessible, and dry. Be sure to check out our Creators and Community Market – a blend of our annual Maker’s Market & Festival Market. Come for the art – stay for the Ice Cream Social with Imprint Youth.

July 15 at 10:00 pm at the Capital Exhibit Centre is the Freddy Beach Pride Block Party. This event is 19+ and is by donation, indoors, accessible, and wet. The Pride Block Party is back again – this year, in Freddy Beach form! Doors open at 10PM. Performances start at 10:30PM with a splish & a splash of dance music throughout the night! Prepare to get wet and wild with your host, Eva Darling, and our glamorous cast, featuring: Damion Danger Dixon, Porcelain Barbie, Sasha Stratus, Succubus, Dia Monde, Justin Toodeep, with special guest: Miss Hunni Krüller! July 16 at 1:30 pm at Odell Lodge is the Foodie Drag Brunch. This event is open to all ages and is free, outdoors, accessible, seated, and dry. It has gender-neutral washrooms. Join us for a family adventure with a light brunch and an all ages drag show! Hosted by Ruby Ram with performances by Bella Tofana, Meatloafe, and Matante Maboule.

July 16 at 6:00 pm at Charlotte Street Arts Center is Pride Comedy Night. This event is 19+ and is by donation, indoors, seated, accessible, seated, and wet. It has ASL interpretation and gender-neutral washrooms. Come out to enjoy a night of queer comedy! Start the night off right with local queer comedians, then a gut-busting set from Dead Serious Improv, followed by our headlining sketch show “Gay Garbage”! July 17 at 6:00 pm online is the LGBT Purge Panel. This event is open to all ages and is free, live-streamed, and ASL-interpreted. Solo Chicken presents LGBT Purge Panel: History, Human Rights and Using Art to Commemorate & Disseminate Queer History, a panel on their upcoming theatre work: Fruit Machine, premiering at Notable acts. July 17 at 8:00 pm online are the Ethical Non-Monogamy and Kink Dialogues. This event is 18+ and is free and live-streamed. The ethical non-monogamy event begins at 8:00pm, and the kink event begins at 9:00 pm. Join us for the third instalment of our dialogue series on Ethical Non-Monogamy and Kink. These back-to-back online panels will create space for open, non-judgemental dialogue and discussion. Come with questions or sit back and learn!

July 18 at 7:00 pm at the Provincial Archives of NB is A History of Drag in NB. This event is all ages, free, indoors, seated, accessible, and dry. Join QHINB for our annual Intergenerational Panel! Our province has a vibrant and thriving drag scene, and we expect to hear from local drag artists about their experiences performing in NB

July 19 at 12:00 noon at the NB Legislature is the Reproductive Justice Picnic. This event is open to all ages and is free, outdoors, accessible, and dry. Join Reproductive Justice NB and Pride for a picnic on the Legislature lawn. Light snacks and lawn games will be provided. Join us for food, fun, and information. BYO picnic blanket

July 19 at 6:00 pm on the Green beside Picaroons is Queer Yoga. This event is open to all ages and is free, outdoors, and dry. Enjoy an evening of yoga with Lululemon ambassador Kris Murphy. This light beginners class will ease you into Pride Week.

July 20 between 4:30 pm and 9:00 pm on Carleton Street is the Pride Booth at the Garrison Night Market. This event is open to all ages and is free, outdoors, accessible, and dry. Find us at the Garrison Night Market! We will have an interactive art installation, information, resources, and Pride merch!

July 20 at 6:00 pm at the Centre Communitaire Saint Anne is the screening of “Y’a une étoile.” This event is all ages, by donation, indoors, seated, accessible, and dry. This film will be in French; however, there will be English subtitles. A musical documentary about Angele Arsenault and l’acadie queer, directed by Julien Cadieux and hosted by Barb Wire and Equinox. July 20 at 6:00 pm at Westminster Books is Verse: A queer poetry reading. This event is open to all ages and is free, indoors, seated, ASL-interpreted, and dry. Come celebrate queer literature and local queer poets with an evening of poetry readings.

July 21 at 5:00 pm at the Waterloo Tent on the Green beside Beaverbrook Art Gallery is the 5 à 7. This event is open to all ages and is free, outdoors, and wet. We invite you to our 5 à 7, where we will have good music, good drinks, and good conversations. Hosted by your Francophone board chair, also known as Barb Wire.

July 21 at 6:00 pm on the Green beside Picaroons is Queer Zumba. This event is open to all ages and is free, outdoors, and dry. Enjoy an evening of zumba with Colleen Jesso from the FreddyZ Crew to sweat your week off outdoors!

July 21 at 7:00 pm at the Waterloo Tent on the Green beside Beaverbrook Art Gallery is the Party de Cuisine. This event is 19+, by donation, outdoors, and wet. We’re throwing a kitchen party for Pride! Open to anyone wanting to experience a real Acadian party, even if you only speak English! Expect good music, Acadian drag, dancing, and so much fun. July 22 at 10:00 am at Oromocto Gateway Wetlands is the Pride Nature Walk. This event is open to all ages and is free, outdoors, accessible, and dry. Walk or roll along the Wetlands boardwalk with guide Kirsten Johnsen, identifying the natural flora & fauna of the region. End of page 6.

July 22 at 5:30 pm at Fredericton Indoor Pool is the 2 Spirit, Trans, and Gender Diverse Swim. This event is all ages, free, indoors, accessible, and dry. There is a gender-neutral changing room. Come out and enjoy a private swim with friends and chosen family. Swim fee sponsored by ElderPride.

July 23 at 12:00 pm at Odell Park is the ElderPride Pre-Parade Barbeque. This event is 18+, free, outdoors, accessible, and dry. Join ElderPride for an intergenerational BBQ with lawn games at Odell Park! ElderPride prioritizes older 2SLGBTQ+ adults.

July 23 at 3:00 pm in Downtown Fredericton is the Pride Parade. This event is all ages, free, outdoors, live-streamed, accessible, and dry. Join us for the 12th annual Fredericton Pride Parade! Come show your Pride, rain or shine! There is a map of the parade route beside the write-up. The parade begins behind City Hall and follows York Street to King Street, where it turns left, turning left again on Carleton, and then left again onto Queen. It will then turn right at York Street and end behind City Hall.

July 23, time to be announced, is Sweltering Songs Festival. This event is ticketed, all ages and outdoors. After the parade, head down to the Waterloo Tent for the final night of the Sweltering Songs festival, co-hosted by Pride! Check out Sweltering Songs for the full festival lineup.
